Liz came up with a great idea based on this
DIY halter dress tutorial. Instead of looking for a dress, she’ll buy a light fabric, tie it around the neck, then finish it off with a loud chunky DIY belt to avoid looking too beachy and informal. I think it’s an awesome quick fix for when you simply don’t have the time or money to spend on finding the evening gown. In the end, no one will be able to tell that it’s not a “real dress”! Try it next time you need a dress ASAP.
